Inverness Music Festival 2022

Congratulations to all who took part in the SCD Classes of the Music Festival at the Merkinch Community Centre on 26th February. It was a fun evening which highlighted new dances written to celebrate the Festival's Centenary Year, supported by an enthusiastic audience.
The adjudicator, Tom Davey from Kingussie, complimented all dancers on a close competition which yielded  the following results:

Dance for Children Dance for Adults
Winner - "Centenary Circle"
RSCDS Inverness & District

Winner - "Let’s Have Music and Dance"
Marybank SCD Group

Other entries - RSCDS Inverness and RSCDS Forres

At the end of the formalities, members of the audience joined the competitors on the floor for an impromptu performance of the reel 'The Falls of Rogie' - it's great to be back !

Very many thanks to the Festival organisers and Merkinch Community Centre for all their hard work on our behalf.
